MOTIF # 16

Generic snowflake. Similar to one in the HandyHands, "Tatting ABC's & 123's"
Tatted in size 30 Anchor thread. It is about the size of an old silver dollar (remember those?)
It turned out very lacy looking.

Ha! I DO remember the silver dollars. The ones before the Susan B. Anthony dollar coins.

Yup! That'd be those that I saw when I was in the first grade in 1941! LOL DH and I both had some very old ones that people had saved and then given to us when we were kids ~ but they were taken the first time our house was robbed. We had no really near neighbors, so we were an easy hit while on the ranch in N. CA.
They were larger than the Susan B Anthony dollars.
AND in the early days of Las Vegas (where I began 1sr grade) SLOTS paid off in silver dollars! Also, in those days, children could wander at will amongst the gamblers in Vegas and go to the Vegas shows with their parents (Well, I did). I loved the Old El Rancho the best because it was picturesque.
Anyway this very generic snowflake is that size!
