Motif 25 ~ Fini

DESIGNER: Mary Konier ~ HD Silk thread by LadyShuttlemaker

I did this some time last year and will have to look up the color; because, I have forgotten!
It is a lovely silk thread and a very, very long edging for a larger hankie. I like to work with silk threads and except for one batch, I've not had any problems with splitting; and, I think that one split because the crochet hook was too small for the thread. (I'll edit both color and pattern name, later)

Probably will not begin another 25-Challenge until the fall. Have some UFO's I need to force myself to finish.

# 24 A bit behind

MOTIF # 24 I'm running behind. A little over-due.
But I have a viable excuse. I need to scan one more edging! May and June have been busy, busy with DH hip replacement and a few light moments with the Leprechauns. So, as soon as I scan. . .

I saw this thread on Zarina's Blog. She only had two skeins of Garden Path, size 40 left. I love this edging and it was fun to tat. It is for a surprise for a friend of mine; a gift.

Motif # 23

DESIGN BY YARNPLAYER

Tatted for 2010 Pendant Exchange. Lizbeth white with HDT ~ Nectarine rose, with designer ribbon. My tatting exchange partner was Judith Conners. I was so intimidated that I began two other designs before I 'settled down' and tatted this cross with a rose center. I was very happy how it turned out; but, of course because of my procrastination, indecision, and that Volcano erupting; the pendant was a bit tardy in getting to Australia.

Motif # 21

Oldie but Goody: Rosemarie Peel's "MAY" EDGING
I'm calling this Priscilla's Bookmark; She assists me in making my way to communion rail on the Sunday's I'm able to go. She had admired the tatting I was doing before and after services, as I await my DH finishing his elder duties. As a token of my appreciation, I tatted this familiar pattern using the HDT I on LadyShuttlemaker's Mondo Giveaway! It is size 50, Himalayan Poppy, with a white grosgrain ribbon and a small leaf charm. The bookmark is 8" long (8 ½" w leaf) This is a good, quick way to tat a bookmark and a pretty pattern for a friend.

MOTIF # 20

From Be-Stitched.com: the 2009 Christmas tree, decorated.

Lisbeth Christmas Green with wooden (button) star and various ornaments. Some of the ornaments were from Wickedtats Halloween Give Away that I received from S'pore. Always fun to get a box from Aileen. A number of people tatted this tree, the base seemed the biggest challenge. :>)

MOTIF # 19

2009 Bell ~ Flora 20 This went kind of Wonky on me, it was supposed to be an easy pattern but I fought all the way through. I'm sorry, I really don't remember where I got the pattern and I didn't write the source down.

MOTIF # 18

RidgeRooster calls out from New Mexico

Jane Eborall's TIAS are always fun; but this one was also challenging. Size 20 threads.
The Blue is from RainbowBrite series by TatSkool, Peach is Lisbeth, and tail feathers is HDT
I don't know why RidgeRooster has a dip in his fore face; think it was mocking its creator's pug nose. LOL

Motif # 17

Designed by DanTatter (Suzanne) for Design-Tat Class 2009

This lovely motif came from Dantatter's creative mind and was 'test tatted' by Bev.
Size 20 Raspberry Ripple HDT by Tatskool (Ireland) I do love tatting with this thread in what ever color she dyes! It is so firm and smooth, a real joy to work with and it shows in the finished piece.
